Scottish social enterprise · Human skills for the AI age

The more we automate, the more human skills matter

Building human capacity through skills, wellbeing and community. We design and deliver credit-rated learning and experiences that grow human capability alongside technical fluency, built around the whole learner and delivered remotely for commercial, community and schools and colleges settings across Scotland.

Còmhla — three threads,
woven together

Most provision separates skills from wellbeing, and wellbeing from community. People do not arrive in three pieces. Còmhla (Scottish Gaelic roughtly meaning “together” (KOV-luh or KOO-luh - IPA: /kɔːhlə/ or /kə.mɬˈæ/) is the architecture underneath everything we design: the three threads are built in from the first conversation, not added on when something goes wrong.

Our methodology

A group of five diverse people engaged in a discussion around a table, with one woman speaking and gesturing, in a casual indoor setting.

01

Human Skills

Co-design, development and delivery of holistic, integrated, inclusive learning — the capabilities that make technical knowledge count.

Two women sitting at a wooden table, engaging in an arts and crafts activity with paint and paper, indoors with a black brick wall and greenery in the background.

02

Wellbeing

Trauma-aware and creative arts therapeutic practice and reflective space, so that learning happens in a nervous system that can receive it.

03

Community

Belonging and place as the foundation rather than the backdrop — gatherings, peer structures and year-round connection.

Bianca creates spaces where people feel seen and valued, turning ordinary events into something transformative.

Who we work with

Local authorities, funders & commercial

Provision that reaches the people your strategies name and your existing programmes miss. Evaluation and impact reporting built in from the start, not retrofitted at the end. Already delivering across Scotland.

  1. Future Skills Pathways consortium — a delivery partner already in motion

  2. Impact reports mapped to the frameworks you report against

  3. Learner projects and lived-experience evidence, not just headcount

Four kinds of partner,
one way of working

We start by listening. Every piece of work begins with the same question — who is being left out, and why — and the design follows from the answer.

High schools & colleges

AI literacy and human skills for the senior phase and college learners, delivered as a credit-rated award or as staff CPD/Train-the-trainer.

Trauma-aware, neurodivergent-friendly, and mapped to global frameworks and children's rights.

Scotland’s first SCQF Level 5 & 6 award in Human Skills and AI.

  1. Self paced, 40hr, accredited award

  2. Full suite of resources, materials & assessment

Individuals and communities

Remote work is lonely by default. We build the room where it isn't — in person, screen-free, and in nature.

  1. Remote Alba Fest — the annual in-person remote worker & creatives festival

  2. Alba Unplugged — screen-free pop-ups for connection and wellness offline

  3. Nourish & Flourish — lunchtime industry online learning community

Let's design it together.
